Day 1

The Color Monster

Activity

How do you feel today? Draw your own color monster in your journal or on a piece of paper and write a word to describe how you feel.

Day 2

Name That Emotion

Activity:

Stand in front of a mirror and make different faces to show emotions. What does your face look like when your angry? What about when you're sad or happy?

Make emotion faces with someone in your family and try to guess what emotion they are showing.

Day 3

Ruby Finds a Worry

Family Talking Circle

Sit down with your family and talk about how you are feeling. Here are some questions to guide you:

  • How are you feeling about COVID-19? Do you have any questions or feelings you want to talk about? 

  • What are some of the things that make you feel worried? 

  • It is totally normal to feel worried. What helps you feel better when you are worried?

Day 4

Emotions - StoryBot Super Song

Activity

Create a face that shows an emotion. Think about what the face will look like that will help tell how they are feeling. Label the parts of the face that help tell the emotion.

 

Day 5

Grumpy Monkey

Journal Activity

Retell the story to someone. Remember to tell the beginning, middle, and end.
